CakeBoxx Technologies Goes to Asia
December 28, 2012
Members of the CakeBoxx Technologies team recently returned from Asia where CakeBoxx served as a sponsor for the 6th ASIS International Asia-Pacific Security Forum and Exhibition held in Hong Kong from 03-05 December 2012. ASIS International brings together senior security managers and corporate executives from across the Asia-Pacific region and around the globe for networking and educational sessions on the latest innovations, best-practices, products and services that are shaping the international security industry today. Other sponsors for the event included Microsoft, G4S, Securitas and ADT.
This year’s ASIS conference addressed a wide variety of topics related to security management, including: supply chain security, loss prevention, maritime piracy, terrorism, physical security, cyber security and other global security business issues. CakeBoxx Technologies was also an exhibitor at the event, where the company showcased its line of highly-secure, doorless intermodal shipping containers, including the CakeBoxx, ShortBoxx and FreshBoxx.
In addition to sponsoring the ASIS event in Hong Kong, the CakeBoxx team went to the Philippines where they delivered the first FreshBoxx unit to their local partner, Delbros Waterfront Leasing. The FreshBoxx keeps produce cool for up to 72 hours though the use of high efficiency insulation. It is designed to support the fresh produce shipping market by offering an alternative to the use of diesel-powered refrigerated containers on the farm-to-port leg of the supply chain. Using fuel-free FreshBoxx containers creates the opportunity for producers to save millions of dollars in fuel costs annually while significantly reducing maintenance costs and greenhouse gas emissions in the process.
